We did things a little different for Christmas this year. Instead of going back home to my parents house Christmas Eve, we stayed home. I'm 35 years old and this was the first time in my life to not be with my parents and siblings, but it was nice to not have to drive late at night. It was especially nice to start our own family traditions. Abby and I baked and decorated cookies, along with chex mix, little BBQ wienies, cheese ball, and a big dinner. We played games, watched movies, ate alot and went to see Santa Claus. Abby didn't cry this year, but she didn't want to talk or even look at Santa. Which is really strange considering how much she talked about Santa. On Christmas Eve, Abby helped put out milk and cookies for Santa and then we read the 3 Christmas books that we had been reading before bed this season. She was beyond thrilled Christmas morning. She opened all of her presents on her own and even squealed a couple times. A couple favorites were her trampoline, her Fur Reals Cat (Snowflake), and her Rescue Pack (Dora & Diego). Abby and I played with her many toys all day and Daddy played his new PlayStation 3. The next morning we drove to Mom & Dads to see my family and open presents. We are there now, all having fun and playing. We will see Guys Mom and Abuela this weekend, but unfortunately, we will not be able to see Angie & Chris or Guys Dad, Aleyda, Mario, or Marcella. We are planning to go see all of them in the near future. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and best wishes for the new year. It is my new years resolution to start and faithfully continue this blog for our families to keep in touch better and also to watch Abby grow easier. Love you all!
